Teachers, Parents and Students,
Our three programs are described below. It is important to know that students may submit their writings, photos, and artwork to be published in Chelsea’s Beacon. Feel free to contact us with any questions. Contributions are accepted from all ages.
Broaden Chelsea's Flight...
Broaden a Student's Mind !
Chelsea’s Beacon is a children’s newspaper filled with appropriate material for students in grades first through fifth. It offers many beneficial methods, formats and outlets that promote the written word. We use only writings submitted through a national volunteer effort of skilled professional and amateur writers.
The Student's Beat is a day planner for each child that can be used as a day-to-day journal throughout the school year. The journals help students set realistic goals and guide them in their efforts to achieve these goals. The journal gives teachers a practical, as well as a lively and a fun, method to help children take greater control over their own lives inside and outside the classroom.
The Quality Effort Award recognizes the efforts that students put into their schoolwork throughout the year. Teachers decide who receives the ribbons and will distribute them to their students.
